Clear Height prides itself on the service that it offers to both clients and horses. This would not be possible without such an experienced, considerate and friendly team of staff. In order for the horses to be successful they must live in an environment in which their athletic prowess can best be developed. People who own racehorses expect a very high standard of care for their horses and also a helpful and respectful communication between themselves and the stables where their horses are trained. Below are some brief details about the people who work at Clear Height who are dedicated to ensuring the horses succeed and that owning a horse or attending events at Clear Height is a really pleasurable experience.

Alex worked here as a school boy but has now joined the team full time having completed his course at the British Racing School last Autumn.

Nigel is the man who has the unfortunate task of keeping track of the finances at Clear Height! He achieves this in an exceptionally studious and methodical manner and his efforts are much appreciated. We just have to remember not to try and talk to him when the Test Matches are on!

Sally has been attached to the team for more years than she cares to remember! A most competent horsewoman, Sally does not ride out now but basically ensures that the day goes smoothly! Her vast experience is enormously helpul and Sally is most involved in the corporate entertainment side of the business. Sally also works for the Town's own racing charity, The Epsom Training and Development Fund.

Alan is the senior member of staff at Clear Height and combines the position of Head Lad, and Box Driver somehow ! He has many years of experience and he rode winners himself when apprenticed to the now retired but very successful Epsom trainer, John Benstead. Alan is an extremely high class horseman and remembers the day when on his first ride at Epsom he was narrowly beaten on the line by a young apprentice having his first ride who happenned to be Pat Eddery!

Mary is the Secretary but she is much more of a personal assistant as well! Somehow Mary manages to balance the administration side of the business with organising many of our functions, including the Derby weekend entertainment where Clear Height is traditionally host to over 400 guests over the two days.

Simone works part time but is a very valuable member of the team. She has worked here for many years and was full time until 10 years ago when her daughter Charlotte was born. Charlotte is very interested in the horses and rides a retired horse called Chakalak at the weekends. Simone is extremely diligent and is always smiling!



Joe Coffill Brown

Joe rides out at the weekends and when he is free and used to be apprenticed here. He is a very good rider and recently took time off forom his tree surgeon work to take care of My Shadow who spent some of the Winter in the South of France.
